"I hate to criticize at all, because I really love the band, but I actually quite prefer it when kele sings as opposed to when he's more like rapping. All my favorites are ones he sings, like ion square or where is home?. What do you think?" by Anonymous

I understand what you mean I do prefer when Kele actually sings too, his voice is by far one of the reasons why songs such as tulips, Day Four, ion square and where is home? are so powerful and so meaningful! doesn’t matter what song it might be his voice just connects to the listener so well that I believe not many can do.

I guess Kele got the rapping from his experiences in NYC which in a way I like a lot too! simply because I feel like that’s another way he enjoys to express himself in a song. Ratchet for example is a song that I like a lot primarily because of his rapping (even though he raps real fast in some parts of the song) I feel it goes well with the song overall. To me Bloc Party have been their own genre since day one and big part of that is Kele either singing or as he likes to do now rapping some. It has his good and bad things but as long as Kele keeps being creative and writes what he loves I’m fine with that.

But I will always enjoy Kele the singer more that the rapper ;)
